About This Floral / Botanical Picture: Melancholy Flower is a teal monochromatic nature photograph that was created in my dining room after days of passing the window with mid-afternoon sun shining through the blinds. I found the shadows that the blinds were casting during that time of day to be an interesting composition. With the Cushion Pom Flower in full bloom and the narrow vase, mixed with the shadows and odd angle the photograph appears to have a significant amount of depth.
